Begun by the Foreign Policy Association in 1954, the Great Decisions program is designed to encourage debate and discussion of the important global issues of our time. The format of the program is intended to promote thoughtful discourse, and to bring people together to express their ideas and opinions, and learn from others.

This course will be led by Nancy Powell. Each week will have assigned readings from books that can be checked out by attendees either before or during the class. While attendees needn't attend every class, it is encouraged!

TOPIC FOR WEEK II: RUSSIA'S FOREIGN POLICY
To supporters, Putin represents Russia's redemption as a global superpower - and an alternative to the liberal democracy espoused by the West. Great Decisions explores what drives Putin's foreign policy.
